XII Congress of general practitioners of Serbia with international participation

It is our pleasure to invite you to join us at the XII Congress of general practitioners of Serbia with international participation. It will take place on Zlatibor mountain, at Mona Plaza Hotel.

The congress is accredited by the National Health Association of Serbia.

Congress fee is 17.700 RSD until 01.08.2023.

Congress fee is 20.000 RSD until 15.09.2023.

Congress fee is 23.600 RSD after 15.09.2023.

These prices are for the members of the Serbian Medical Society and those who are not members should add 4.000 RSD to the final sum.

Congress fee includes participation in all congress activities, lectures, and workshops, congress material, welcome drink, coffee breaks during the congress, gala dinner, and CME credits.

Congress is credited:

  • 13 credits for the lecturers
  • 11 credits for oral presentations
  • 9 credits for poster presentations
  • 8 credits for the participants

 

Abstract guidelines:

Use Times new roman font, size 12

Write up to 350 words

It should be written in Serbian or English. The abstract should be concise, clear, and represent the paper properly. It is a separate part of the paper and as such it should be understandable (with all the necessary data) and express the essence of the paper.

Less-known abbreviations should be avoided and figures and tables shouldn`t be mentioned. The abstract should be written in the Past tense.

The abstract usually contains these elements:

  • Introduction - up to two sentences, the importance of the research or up-to-date data on the subject at hand.
  • Objective – Hypothesis, aim;
  • Short description of the methods used, methodology
  • Results – with a short discussion, including specific data; if the result is quantitative write the most important numbers and statistical results
  • Conclusion:  important conclusions or the questions that arise from the research
     

Keywords: up to five, according to МESH

Reference: five items, using Vancouver referencing style, i.e.:

Book:

  • SURNAME, Name, book title: subtitle, publishing place: publisher, publishing year. If a book has two or more authors: SURNAME 1, Name 1; Name 2 SURNAME 2; Name 3 SURNAME 3, book title: subtitle, publishing data, publishing place, publisher, publishing year

An article in a journal or a paper in an anthology

  • SURNAME, Name, “Title: subtitle”, Name of the journal (or anthology), designation of the notebooks or years, number, data on the Editor, publishing place: publisher, publishing year, pages (start to finish), /this on page/
    An article in an electronic journal or a text from a web-page
  • (SURNAME, Name) “Document title”, Page title / е-journal title, data on the editor (in the case of e-journal), complete Http address (), publishing date and/or article access date

Accepted posters: Slides presentation will last up to seven minutes strictly and then 5 minutes will be allotted for discussion. The poster should reflect the nature of the paper (research paper, case report, review paper (go to Instructions for abstract).

  • Be imaginative, draw the attention of the viewers
  • Use the poster space but don`t overcrowd it with text and pictures. Not every single detail should be presented because you`ll be able to talk about your poster and explain everything. 
  • Chose the appropriate color of the background.
  • No matter whether the background is light or dark pay attention to the text color, good contrast makes reading easier.
  • Bright colors should be used moderately to emphasize something
  • Don`t use capital letters and only Times new roman font is accepted
  • Titles and subtitles should be in bigger letters than the rest of the paper content but proportional to the rest of the text.
  • Be consistent when shaping the text.

For oral presentations, 10 minutes will be allowed and additional 5 minutes will be allotted for discussion of each paper. If the leading author is not present the paper could be presented by some of the co-authors.

 

2. Instructions for writing case reports

The structure of the case report

  1. Introduction to the uniqueness of the case report, up-to-date knowledge on the subject
  2. Objective
  3. Case report:
  • Main signs and symptoms
  • Final diagnosis / therapeutic outcome
  • Chronology of the events
  • Discussion and explanation of the case uniqueness, what is still unknown on the subject
  • Make a comparison of the case with the literature findings
  • Messages resulting from the case
  • Guidelines for future research / clinical approach
  • 4. Conclusion: evaluate the case`s importance and give the final repetition of the basic message
  • References: It is essential to cite the reference referring to the paper on every slide, where necessary, especially in the Introduction and Discussion.
